On Evaluation...

Working with Drs. James Stronge and Jennifer Hindman was the most professional experience of my tenure with Essex County Public Schools. Their system of support was perfect! In a collaborative effort with Greenville County Schools and Dr. James Stronge, our school district developed a comprehensive performance assessment system for our teachers and our administrators.  Throughout the process, Dr. Stronge offered a number of quality training sessions for all stakeholders. These sessions included Academic Goal Setting for Student Achievement and Portfolio Development for Teachers.  He also worked closely with Principals on the use of Performance Appraisal Rubrics and determining Inter-rater reliability. His consistent support of our evaluation systems allowed for a smooth and effective implementation.  Additionally, the materials created by Dr Stronge and Dr. Jennifer Hindman resulted in Performance Assessment Handbooks and training materials that provided pertinent information and allowed for productive dialogue among the participants. Throughout our three year working relationship, Dr. Stronge and Dr. Hindman have continually offered high quality workshops and materials in support of our performance evaluation systems.
